Showcase: AoS Bloodreavers and bloodbound

Hi guys!
Finally I've finished the bloodreavers: like the results they seem very crazy and bloody and I'm satisfied about them.
I've also done new photos to Bloodsecrator and Khorgos Kul! I think those photos are better. It is missing to the bloodbound the bloodstoker but I've started it so I hope that I'll finish him before January.

Showcase: Khorgos Khul, mighty lord of Khorne

Hi to everybody!
Today I'll show the results of my last work, Khorgos Khul, mighty lord of Khorne. This mini (but all the Khorne stuff of AoS starter box) has been very funny and easy to paint, I think the level of the miniatures (except few details) is very high, well done GW!

As already said, I decided to use red and brass/gold as a status symbol: the more you have, the most you are a strong/important warrior so, K. Khul has a lot of red and a massive Khorne icon of shiny and ancient brass.

So, here the results.
Of course he is on eBay!

I've used black and brown for the cloack, because I cannot stand the idea that this (more or less) 2 meters high boy pass some hours in choosing or dying his cloack!

Wip Khorgos Khul, Mighty Lord Of Khorne and stuff

Hi to everybody!
Today a small post about what I'm working on, the Big Khorne Lord of Age Of Sigmar. I like the fact that GW put in his Name a citation -if I remember well,  Khul was a chaos tribe in WHFB, good old times, correct me if I'm wrong- and the strange fact that he has a pet.
Today, due the fact that I was writing this post, I searched in the Internet the name of this boy and I found that also 'eavy metal had decided to paint the bloody dog more or less with my painting scheme so, I'm a bit sad that my idea is not new -ok find a new idea is almost impossible,  but don't let me be philosophical-and I surely have seen the 'eavy metal one, but I did not remember it when I was painting the hound(probably I stored the imput in my memory and used it unconsciously): not bad because I like the result(here why I stored the painting scheme).
There are a lot of small things to do, a bit of highlights and shadows, some imperfection to correct, finish the axe and add blood and dirty but the main idea is this.
And here a unit shoot of the Bloody Warriors seen last post with a black background. I'm not a great painter but I'm a bit proud of them.
Ah I'working on the next tutorial, I hope you'like it because it is going to be based on one of my favourite miniature.

Showcase: AoS Khorne Army Shoot (partial)

Hi readers!
As promise, here the partial army shoot of the Age Of Sigmar Khorne Army.
Till now, the work is going slowly, but I'm quite satisfied for the results.
I like the fact that the different red between the two main units seems to me to underline the different "caste" (am I imagining this or it seems also to you?). Thank to Greg advice, I've used a different background.

Showcase: AoS Khorne Blood Warriors

Hi readers!

As you have understand, there is a mistake: no picture here till now because I forgot to attach them (TILL NOW).. sorry!

However I think you've understood I'm painting the Khorne army of AoS box!
Today I'll show some progress.
First I must confess: I'm procrastinating  the bloodreavers: this unit is going forward very slow because I'm distract by other miniatures!
However I think the aos starter box bloodreavers are much more cool than the ones you can buy in separated box -the bloodhound beard is a clever idea but it is horrible to see ehehe-.

So I started to paint the blood warriors: as you know Hot and Bright colours are painful for me to use-if i cannot make them sick or rotten- but Khorne's colours is red so I must accept the challenge.
The models are very funny to paint but the instruction are very useful before painting!

Showcase: Khorne Bloodsecrator

Hi!
Today I'll share my Khorne Bloodsecrator: finally some days ago I finished this work.
Some post ago someone advice me to  give the metal a different aspect(Thank Greg): I've tried onto another miniature very similar -I always have some bad miniatures that I use for experiments- but I decided not to apply to this boy because the metal is thin and the results was not what I were imagining. However this idea is very interesting for other mini like Space Marines or some Eldar(it is not casual that I say Eldar) .

A little consideration: dear GW, I'm a bit old customer (not too much) and I clearly remember that Khorne's arms are AXES. Big, small double triple etc, but axes. It is not acceptable that bloodletters (have this strange name) uses swords. Probably axes and swords, but not only swords. I remember probably old miniatures had swords, but I'm the first person that think that not ever old=good.

After this small nerd rage, here the mini: I decided to give him two options and, of course, it is on eBay! Look in the Page "dirty businness" if you can not find him.
DGD levels:
Dark: 2/5
Gore:4.5/5
Dirty :2.5/5
What do you think?

Wip : Age of Sigmar khorne Bloodsecrator

Hi!
Today I'm going to show the progress of the Bloodsecrator.
I've started this work between a unit of bloodreavers and another one, due the fact I wanted a break.
When I had all the Khorne miniatures of AoS the Bloodsecrator was one that did not  convince me: the icon was too much big, and come on, a man that spend his time killing and doin' khornish things, has long hair and decided to sit down and put them in a backbone?and that frankenstein head?
So a bit skeptical I started to paint and I discovered that the miniature had-has-  potential. As always How you paint is How the miniature is going to be -not only How it is sculpted-.
I've decided to not chip his armor because he is not a common bloodreavers but a choosen with arms and armor created by daemons.
I've to finish the head and something other small things and i decided that maybe paint a sword and sell him with two options. With two arms he is very cool!
Ah logically I must make him dirty!
What do you think? Any advice?

Tutorial: how to paint Age Of Sigmar Khorne Bloodreavers

Today, as promise, I'll share my way to paint bloodreavers. It is a semi-fast method. The miniatures are -IMHO- very cool and easy to paint.

Showcase: Bloodreavers

the Age Of Sigmar is a great revolution: good?Bad? As always, I think the truth is in the middle.
I've started the hobby when the Dark Elves Cold One were like fat idiot cows (I loved them): now I do not play, I like only paint and create armies, so the rage-rules is not my cup of tea. So I'm fond of the game, and a bit sad for all the changes but raging versus this, it is like being angry for the sunset. And some miniature like the chaos ones are very beautiful: not always old=good, look at the old dark eldar mandrakes or wyches!

After my two coins, here there are my version of bloodreavers: they are very pretty miniatures in my opinion and very better than the old chaos marauders.

There was a big challenge for me: Khorne's colour is red, but i do not like vivid and hot colours. The first idea was to do not use red and "cover" the miniature of blood to represent their dedication: then I decided to use red, but "chipping" the colour to make it less powerful. I decided not to use the brass for this miniature and only a little of red, because I decided that these elements are the status symbol for the most important warriors (soon on these pages!). Well, here my miniatures!
