Today another short post about what I'm doing, the second wave of the Space Scum project. I'm very busy also because I'm preparing everything  for Holidays that are coming and at work, the days are very full, so the progress is quite small.

Wip: terminators and Space Scum

Those days had been a bit busy in not-hobby-life so, a fast post about what I'm doing.  I'm working hard on the termies,  cause the space marines tactical squad needs some friends. It is very fast to paint the blue with airbrush, and only metals, blacks, seals, heads and other small things are missing -bases, and also highlights and glass of course-!

Last days have been full of adventures and things, but let's proceed with order.

Showcase: space scum the Blind Ones (complete)

Finally I've finished the last unit of the space scum project, the blind ones.
To be honest they were the first unit started but I finished first the second unit.
So lets show the pics!
Maybe tomorrow some unit shoot, an army shoot and the eBay link -I decided to sell them lastly!

Finally I've finished the first unit of the space scum army, and I'm ready to show it! It has been a different job from my classic one because I spent more time in thinking and "sculpting" the minis than in painting, but the result has been extremely satisfing - and I hope pleasant- so I'm quite proud abouth them. As always there is a lot to improve, but I like that those minis are in full DGD style!

All the project is born without a precise idea, and minis after minis I decided what to do. I advice you to try this approach to the hobby: it is very relaxing and it helps a lot if you are in a "down" of the hobby - when you are not too much motivated-, because you have no costrain in nothing, only have fun, pure hobby!
So, here the results. One of this minis is the protagonist of chapter III of the Chronicles, check it if you want!

Finally I've found some minutes to write something about what I'm doing!
I've three news -ok two and half- about hobbying: first I've almost finished the first unit of the famous space scum "army". Only two monsters are missing but I suppose that this week I'm going to finish them! Ok these needs a bit more of gore and a hand of mig earth on the bases.

I continue to call them an army but I do not know where I'm going.

As you have already understood I'm working on a weird ensemble of minis to make somenthing of very dgd, applying somewhere a bit of fluff. As already said I really do not know where I'm going because I approached this project without any idea except to make funny minis to create and write some -simple- background.

Today a showcase of my last work, a group of mutant things arriving straight from my mind!

I've been always interesting in hobbysts that made incredible dark and scary minis customizing existing miniature with extreme kitbashing, so I decided that it was my turn to try this.

Wip: Space Scum and Space Marine Ultramarine Terminators

Today I'm very happy because I've started my new five big minis, the mighty Space Marine Ultramarine Terminators and also a group of Space scum.
First the bad boys.

Here some pics about them, I'm having fun in kitbashing those guys! I like to create a unit of tailor made monster, each one/group with a different inspiration.

There is something to to for example the skinny blind  boy is going to have that round thing between the legs replaced -hoping this is not going to be weird to read- and an eye in thr eye socket in his hand.

I must return to use green stuff!!!

I suppose you can identify them like some renegade astra militarum or simply Cultists or maybe some weird creature.. they need fluff of course!

The second project are the termies.
I've decided to try to use the Ultramarine scheme because I'm very interested in twisting painting schemes, and try to add a DGD touch to the most famous marine is a challenge that I wanted to accept.

As you know I like to do those things, so let's start to paint these boys!

I do not like too much the classical blue so I decided to make a blue metal.

Also the white head are not too much fashinating me so I decided to make them a bit weathered with the cool chipping medium by mig.

It is very useful and I should use it more!

After painting the head, the body is too much dark, so I should make it a bit more shiny I suppose. I 'm not too much happy about the result so I'm painting another one slightly different but I'm not too nuch satisfied. Must work a bit more for them.

Should I add some chipping to the body?
I really do not know because I do not want a too much homogenous results. Maybe I'll add some pigment to make it more dirty.

What do you think about those guys?
